Tingting Ma (b. 1994)
Born in Liaoning, China
Her work focuses on the tension between individuals' internal experiences and the external environment, particularly reflecting on the compression and critical points of individuals' situations in the context of modern society's pursuit of perfection and adherence to rules. Photography serves as her primary means of observing the contradictions and connections between contemporary cultural integration and identity. Through mediums such as artist books and installation art, she seeks to evoke perceptions of the complex interplay between memory and reality, as well as between individuals and societal contexts, within the construct of images.
Currently lives and works in Seoul.
